Job Summary:
As a Junior Web Developer, you will be an integral part of our development team. You will work closely with senior developers to learn and implement best practices in web development. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about coding, eager to learn, and looking to build a career in web development.
The role will be home based but could be required to attend various meeting locations occasionally, as and when required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading existing web applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team meetings.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation.
- Plan own workload to ensure that tasks are met.
- Prioritise workload with consideration to issues arising and responding to shifting priorities appropriately.
- The post holder will attend online training as relevant to the post including mandatory training courses i.e. Information Governance, safeguarding, Health and Safety courses etc
Person Specification:
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 1 year experience working in a developer role using HTML, CSS(3), JavaScript, and other relevant web technologies.
- Familiarity with React.js and Next.js.
- Knowledge of REST API integration.
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow as a web developer.
- Ability to contribute to multiple on-going projects
- Microsoft Office experience
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- MySQL Databases
- Experience of using Wordpress/Website Development
