Role Overview
The Content & Campaign Manager leads the content strategy across all three group brands; Strategic Resourcing, Procure Partnerships Framework and CCBP. Copywriting is the non-negotiable core of this role: the postholder must be an excellent writer, able to produce and edit outstanding copy across every channel and format.
The successful candidate understands how content behaves across digital marketing and social media. They know how a piece of content needs to flex for paid versus organic, how it feeds a campaign, how it changes based on customer journeys, and how to read the data to prove (and improve) its impact on conversions. They are equally experienced in leading SEO strategy, using tools to spot new content and optimisation opportunities, and building campaigns that pull together several departments to land on time and on message.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the content strategy and plan for Strategic Resourcing, PPF and CCBP, aligned to SEO, brand awareness, lead generation and commercial objectives.
- Write and edit outstanding copy across blogs, case studies, whitepapers, reports, email, web, social and paid ads for all three brands, acting as guardian of tone of voice and brand consistency.
- Understand how content translates across digital marketing and social media, adapting tone, format and message to suit paid and organic channels alike.
- Lead SEO content activity using SEMRush; ensuring keyword strategy, content gap analysis and on-page optimisation is fully integrated into the content strategy.
- Use digital analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Microsoft Clarity, to track content performance, identify optimisation opportunities and uncover new content ideas.
- Write content for both paid and organic activity, with a clear understanding of how each performs and how to track its impact on conversions.
- Build and deliver marketing campaigns end-to-end, working across digital marketing, social media, design and other departments to bring them to life.
- Support the Head of Marketing to maintain and manage the marketing calendar, ensuring alignment across campaigns, launches and re-engagement activity across all three brands.
- Ensure content is tailored to the audience and its objectives.
- Drive conversion rate optimisation across key landing pages and partner journeys, working closely with the Graphic Designer and Digital Marketing Manager.
- Support the Digital Marketing Manager to deliver the email marketing programme by providing winning copy for automations and workflows.
- Produce content and campaign performance reports for the Head of Marketing, with clear, commercially-minded recommendations.
- Manage relationships with external copywriters or agencies as required.
What We’re Looking For
- An excellent copywriter - this is essential, not desirable - with a strong portfolio of engaging, on-brand content across multiple formats and channels.
- Proven experience building and delivering content strategies and campaigns, not just producing content to a brief.
- Strong understanding of how content works across digital marketing and social media, and how to adapt it for paid versus organic.
- Solid SEO knowledge, ideally with SEMRush experience, and the ability to build SEO into a content strategy from the outset.
- Confident using digital analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity to spot optimisation and content opportunities and to track impact on conversions.
- Experience building and running campaigns across several departments, coordinating stakeholders to deliver on time.
- Commercially minded, with a solid understanding of the wider marketing mix.
- Experience with paid ads (search and/or social) is desirable but not essential.
- Video briefing and/or editing experience is desirable but not essential.
- A confident cross-functional collaborator who can work independently and as a team
