Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Staff to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers, preparing food items, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food preparation, customer service, and sales.
Duties
- Serve customers at the counter with a friendly and professional attitude
- Prepare food items according to company standards and safety regulations
- Take orders accurately and process transactions using the point-of-sale system
- Upsell additional menu items to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and food preparation zones
- Ensure food safety standards are consistently met and adhered to
- Assist in restocking supplies and ingredients as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and change
- Experience with food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary tasks and upselling techniques

Pay: £12.75-£17.00 per hour
