Hi We are looking for an experienced barista/waitress for long-term employment at our café-restaurant. We pay £13.50–£15 per hour, depending on experience. We are located in Westbury-on-Trym (BS9) and prefer candidates who live nearby. We need new team members—bringing a friendly smile, cheerfulness, and drive—to help strengthen our café, which has been growing for 14 years. - Greet guests warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages as per standard recipes.
- Assist with food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including tables, counters, and equipment.
- Ensure food safety standards are followed at all times during food handling and service.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while providing attentive service to all guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and provide correct change.
Skills
- Prior experience as a barista or in serving is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure hygienic handling of food and drinks.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating orders.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to stay organized, friendly, and professional in a fast-paced environment.
