Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Maths & English)
About the Role
We are seeking four Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our team and support students studying GCSE and Functional skills English and Maths. These are newly created positions and therefore offering an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about helping learners succeed, building learners confidence and supporting their progression.
In this role you will play a key part in supporting teaching and learning by providing in class support, delivering small group interventions and working closely with teaching staff to help students reach their full potential. You will be part of creating a positive learning environment where students are engaged, supported and challenged to succeed.
The successful applicant will have:

Minimum Level 2 in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent)
- Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification.
- Experience working with young people and delivering well-structured sessions is essential.
- Ability to use data to monitor progress and inform support strategies.
- Experience in building positive relationships and providing constructive feedback.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- You will be required to provide teaching cover when appropriate.
- You will be required to be flexible and on occasions work at different locations.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 4:30pm Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break daily)
