Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our night shift team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive team, providing essential nursing services during overnight hours to ensure patient well-being and safety.
Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medication as prescribed
- Assist with patient assessments and develop personalised care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatments
- Support patients with their daily activities, ensuring comfort and dignity are upheld at all times
- Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, demonstrating excellent clinical judgement and professionalism
- Collaborate with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient care within a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to nursing practice
- Competence in medication administration, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively during night shifts
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to support patients and liaise with team members
- Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent professional body
- To work overnight hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate sound clinical judgement at all times
Pay: £23.10 per hour
