Demeter Limited was formed in early 2008 and helps customers in the public and private sector to save water and save money. While we help customers save costs, we are also an environmental company. To date we have saved our clients millions of pounds from reducing their water use with environmental and carbon impact benefits. We work on a nationwide basis with a wide range of well-known customers.
In addition to our core service of monitoring water consumption remotely, we provide a range of services to customers; water efficiency surveys, bill validation, leak detection and repairs.
We are small, friendly, busy company, with 26 employees. We are looking for a conscientious, enthusiastic, organised and independent-thinking person to help in the further development and growth of the company.
Job Overview
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our growing team, to manage the delivery of some of our services and contribute to the ongoing success of Demeter Limited.
The job location is from our head office in Sedgefield with the need to travel to visit customers and field staff as required. 44 hours a week with initial 22.5 annual days holiday plus Bank Holidays, rising to 25 days.
Responsibilities will include:
- Smooth delivery, implementation and improvement of processes & workflows.
- People management – Including all elements from recruitment, training and development, HR.
- Supply chain management & stock control – Managing stock and equipment to ensure effective use of resource and control costs.
- H&S – Ensure H&S policies are adhered to and successful completion of yearly H&S accreditation.
- Compliance – ISO9001 & 14001.
- Finance – Ensuring prompt accurate quotes and invoicing for works.
- Customer Service – Maintaining relationships with key customers.
About you:
- Proven management experience with supervisory responsibilities.
- Systematic and methodical approach.
- Excellent verbal, analytical and written communication skills are essential.
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritise according to customer and business needs.
- A drive to go the extra mile and succeed.
