Painter & Decorator (Estates Team)

Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation is looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic Painter & Decorator to join our friendly Estates Team.
Working across our two beautiful school campuses in the heart of Durham, you'll help maintain and improve our classrooms, boarding houses and other school buildings, creating welcoming spaces for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Whether you're an experienced Painter & Decorator looking for a more stable working environment, or someone with practical decorating experience who wants to continue developing their skills, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
Working alongside our experienced Painter, Decorator & Plasterer, you'll be involved in:
- Internal and external painting and decorating.
- Preparing surfaces and carrying out high-quality finishing work.
- Minor maintenance and repair work.
- Supporting the wider Estates Team with School events and operational activities.
- Helping maintain two beautiful historic school campuses, just a short walk apart.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has painting and decorating experience.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Is practical, reliable and self-motivated.
- Enjoys working as part of a team.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
