Job Summary
We are seeking experienced and reliable Trailer Unloaders to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently unloading trailers, handling materials safely, and ensuring accurate order processing. This role requires familiarity with warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and safety.
Duties
- Unload trailers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or order pickers or manual
- Operate heavy equipment including cranes, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to facilitate materials handling
- Perform order picking and shipping & receiving tasks accurately using warehouse management systems
- Ensure proper load & unload procedures are followed to maintain safety and efficiency
- Conduct quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist in inventory management and documentation as required
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet operational goals
Requirements
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling preferred
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, clamp trucks, or cranes
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and RF scanners is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of safety protocols in warehouse environments
- Warehouse supervisor experience or experience as an order picker is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Valid certification for operating heavy equipment (if applicable)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
This position is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations through safe and accurate trailer unloading processes.
Hours of work, 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday
