Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, kitchen management, and culinary arts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, including sous chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met.
- Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimise waste.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations.
- Train staff on food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety procedures.
- Monitor kitchen performance, provide feedback, and implement improvements to optimise efficiency.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Control costs related to food procurement and labour while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and continuous development.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary environment.
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse staff members.
- Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.

Pay: £36,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

Experience:
- working indian kitchen : 5 years (preferred)
- Head chef: 3 years (preferred)
- working in pub and restaurant: 1 year (preferred)
