Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop organisational skills within a professional setting.
This is a night role. Shifts start from 11pm - 7am.
This is an 8 hour role. With Potential for overtime and additional shifts for the busy season and Holiday Cover.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks across various areas, including lobbies, corridors, offices, and communal spaces
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Ensure waste disposal is handled efficiently and recycling protocols are followed
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet rolls, and cleaning materials as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Assist with organising storage areas to ensure items are stored safely and systematically
- Support other team members in maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation throughout the premises
- Set up conference facilities in advance
- Set up weddings facilties in advance
- Perform Check-ins/ Check-outs at the Hotel reception
- Print the relevent paperwork for departments
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good physical stamina to perform cleaning duties effectively
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines diligently
