Overview
Magna Foodservice Ltd is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Till Operator to join our team at our Heston branch on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating the till, processing customer transactions accurately, assisting customers with enquiries, replenishing stock, maintaining a clean and organised store environment, and supporting the day-to-day running of the branch.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the till and process cash, card, and account transactions accurately.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with product enquiries.
- Ensure all transactions are completed efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
- Replenish shelves and maintain stock levels throughout the store.
- Stack and organise products neatly in designated locations.
- Monitor stock levels and identify products that are low in stock.
- Report stock shortages and replenishment requirements to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the shop floor, shelves, stock areas, and customer-facing areas.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Support colleagues with general store duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating a till and handling cash is essential.
- Previous retail, wholesale, or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Punjabi.
- Ability to undertake light manual handling, stock replenishment, and cleaning duties.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Working Hours
- Part-time weekend position.
- 20–35 hours per week.
- Shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
- Saturday and Sunday only.
Pay
£12.71 per hour.
