This is an exciting opportunity to lead town centre regeneration and Pride in Place programmes across our principal towns. You will play a key role in shaping places that people are proud of, bringing together partners, communities and businesses to deliver practical projects that improve vitality, confidence and local identity.
As Head of Town Centres and Pride in Place, you will lead a diverse programme of activity including town centre renewal, market development, public realm activation, meanwhile use, events, cultural programming, funding delivery and performance monitoring. You will help unlock the potential of underused spaces, support high street vitality and develop strong partnerships that make change happen.
We are looking for an experienced regeneration, place management or high street renewal professional who can combine strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will be confident working in a political environment, skilled at building partnerships and able to manage complex programmes, budgets and stakeholder relationships.
You will bring strong communication and leadership skills, the ability to work across organisational boundaries and a clear focus on outcomes. Most importantly, you will be motivated by the opportunity to make a visible difference to local towns, communities and businesses.
