About the Role
We're recruiting a Senior Highway Engineer to join our client's highways team. This is a technical role, ideal for someone with strong highway engineering experience and the ability to support the successful delivery of highway projects.
You'll provide technical expertise across a range of highway engineering schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, engineering standards, and local authority requirements. You'll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to support project delivery and resolve engineering challenges.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing technical support and expertise on highway engineering projects
- Designing, reviewing, and assessing highway engineering schemes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, engineering standards, and local authority requirements
- Preparing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, and project documentation
- Liaising with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Monitoring project progress and providing technical advice to support successful delivery
- Assisting in resolving engineering and design issues as they arise
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone technically skilled, proactive, and experienced in highway engineering.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience in highway engineering
- Strong technical knowledge of highway design and engineering standards
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical documentation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Eligibility to work in the UK

Candidate Requirements
