About Love4Life
Love4Life supports vulnerable and disadvantaged girls and young women to build confidence, positive self-esteem and healthy relationships. We believe that when young people feel good about themselves, they are more able to make healthy, positive choices and build lives filled with aspirations.
This is an exciting time to join our innovative and ambitious charity as we continue to grow our reach and strengthen our impact.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Fundraising and Communications Officer to join our small and supportive fundraising team.
You do not need to know everything from day one. We are looking for someone who brings some relevant experience, strong transferable skills, curiosity and a genuine desire to learn. You may have worked in fundraising, communications, marketing, sales, customer relationships, community engagement or another role where you have developed persuasive communication and relationship-building skills.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and colleagues across Love4Life, you will help generate income, engage supporters and communicate the difference our work makes. You will have opportunities to build your experience across trusts and foundations, corporate and community fundraising, earned income, campaigns, events and digital communications.
This is a varied role for someone who enjoys building relationships, writing engaging content, developing new ideas and managing their own work while contributing to a collaborative team.
Key responsibilities

- Help to write clear, persuasive and evidence-based funding applications.
- Support the preparation of reports and updates for funders.

- Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, campaigns, presentations and other communications.
- Help to communicate Love4Life’s impact clearly and sensitively to different audiences.
- Support the planning and delivery of communications and fundraising campaigns.
- Assist with website updates and digital communications.
- Gather stories, photographs and other content in line with safeguarding, consent and confidentiality requirements.
- Help to maintain a consistent and positive Love4Life brand.
- Support communications before, during and after events.
- Monitor engagement and use learning to improve future communications.
Team and organisational responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Love4Life.
- Manage your workload, projects and priorities effectively.
- Represent Love4Life positively and professionally with external audiences.
- Follow Love4Life’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding, data protection and equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Take part in training, supervision and opportunities for professional development.
- Undertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the level of the role.
About you
Above all, you will share our passion for helping vulnerable teenage girls and young women thrive. You will be enthusiastic, adaptable and keen to develop your fundraising and communications skills.
You will enjoy communicating with different audiences, building positive relationships and turning ideas into action. You will be comfortable taking responsibility for your work, while also asking questions, seeking support and learning from others.
We recognise that talented people gain skills in many different settings. If you meet most of the essential criteria and are excited about the role, we encourage you to apply, even if you do not have direct charity-sector experience.
