Duties
- Lead and manage the entire kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment through effective supervision and mentorship.
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to ensure consistency and excellence in every dish served.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with catering, banquet, and restaurant departments to plan and execute large-scale events with precision.
- Supervise shift operations, including staff scheduling, training new team members, and maintaining high service standards during busy periods.
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining and food presentation.
- Proven supervising experience in a high-volume kitchen or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of banquet operations, catering services, and dietary department requirements.
- Expertise in food production, menu planning, and food management strategies.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, cost control, and kitchen logistics.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, HACCP standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with staff and management teams.
