Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of Pappa's. The ideal candidate will provide outstanding customer service, ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience, and support the smooth daily operation of the restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve brunch dishes, pasta meals, coffee, and beverages to customers.
- Answer menu questions and make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Process payments using the POS system.
- Prepare tables before and after service, ensuring cleanliness and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, service stations, and workspaces.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Support kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve minor issues promptly.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, café, or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to drive the business.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong leadership and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varying shifts.
- Knowledge of coffee, brunch menus, and Italian cuisine is an advantage.
