YARD PERSON WANTED Marquee The Event | Full-Time / Part-Time | Flexible Hours Available
Marquee The Event is looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Yard Person to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role working from our yard, preparing equipment and supporting our marquee and temporary structure operations.
THE ROLE
Your responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Preparing marquee equipment and materials for events
- Checking, cleaning and organising equipment
- Maintaining an organised and tidy yard
- Picking and packing equipment for upcoming jobs
- Helping with stock and equipment checks
- Assisting with general yard maintenance
- Keeping equipment in good working condition
- Supporting the installation and dismantling teams when required
- Following health & safety procedures at all times
- forklift experience

We're looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Practical and able to work with their hands
- Organised and able to work efficiently
- A good team player
- Happy working outdoors in all weather
- Able to follow instructions and work safely
- Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, events, construction or marquee environment is an advantage, but not essential. Training will be provided for the right person.
HOURS & PAY
Full-time or part-time available
Flexible hours – we can work around you where possible.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour, depending on age, experience and responsibilities, in line with applicable UK minimum wage requirements.
Additional opportunities for overtime may be available during busy event periods.
