ISS is a leading service provider in the UK Fresh Produce sector. Since 2014, we have grown to operate four sites across Kent, employing over 1,300 colleagues. We are now looking for a detail-focused Stock Counter to join our team and help ensure stock accuracy across our warehouse and production operations.
About the Role
As a Stock Counter, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate stock records and supporting efficient warehouse operations. You will conduct stock counts, investigate discrepancies, monitor stock movements and work closely with Production, Warehouse and Stock Control teams to ensure products are in the right place at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily stock counts and ensure pallets are scanned to the correct locations.
- Use handheld devices to verify stock quantities, locations and movements.
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies, including missing, damaged, overpacked or incorrectly picked products.
- Support the Stock Controller and wider operational teams in resolving stock issues.
- Record stock movements accurately and ensure system data remains up to date.
- Assist with stock reporting and provide accurate information on stock levels and variances.
- Operate MHE equipment where trained and authorised.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, food safety and company procedures.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Supply Chain teams to support operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve stock accuracy and stock control processes.

What You'll Bring
- Experience within a warehouse, stock control or inventory environment (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using handheld scanners or stock management systems.
- Understanding of health & safety and food safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Experience operating MHE equipment is advantageous.
