Doncaster Golf Club is seeking a motivated and hardworking Assistant Greenkeeper to join our dedicated Greens Team on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a professional greenkeeping environment and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our high‑quality golf course.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day‑to‑day maintenance of the golf course, including mowing, bunker work, and general turf care.
- Operate a range of turf maintenance machinery (training provided where required).
- Support the implementation of seasonal maintenance programmes.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with club standards.
- Contribute to the overall presentation and playability of the course.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings enthusiasm and a strong work ethic. Ideal candidates will have:
- A willingness to work early mornings, and weekends and bank holidays as required.
- A genuine interest in greenkeeping, turf management, or outdoor work.
- Previous experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- The ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
