Live-In Chefs Required – Opportunities Across Scotland & the Islands
Studio 3 Recruitment is a specialist hospitality recruitment agency working with a wide range of clients across Scotland and the Scottish Islands. We regularly supply experienced chefs to hotels, resorts, golf clubs, restaurants, event venues, private estates, and hospitality businesses that require temporary and permanent chef cover.
We are currently looking to expand our team of talented chefs for ongoing live-in opportunities, with positions available at all levels from Chef de Partie through to Head Chef.
The Role
As an agency chef, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of exciting venues, providing professional kitchen support during busy periods, staff shortages, holidays, events, and seasonal peaks. Many roles offer live-in accommodation, allowing you to experience different locations throughout Scotland while developing your career.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to the standards of each client venue
- Supporting kitchen operations during periods of increased demand or staffing shortages
- Maintaining exceptional food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Following all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
- Assisting with stock control, food preparation, and kitchen organisation
- Working effectively as part of established kitchen teams
- Adapting quickly to different kitchens, menus, and service styles
- Supporting junior team members where required
What We're Looking For
- Previous professional chef experience (CDP, Sous Chef, Head Chef or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, flexible, and professional approach to work
- Experience within hotels, restaurants, golf clubs, events, or high-volume hospitality operations is desirable
- Passion for delivering excellent food and service
