08.15am - 16.15pm Monday to Thursday & 08.15am - 15.00pm Fridays
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist education provider supporting children and young people aged 5-19 with Autism, learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and associated behavioural needs.
What will you be doing?
You will be based in the classroom daily, but no two days are the same. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and therapists to support students both in and out of the classroom. Your role will involve:
- Supporting students with their learning and classroom activities
- Encouraging communication, social interaction and independence
- Helping to manage behaviours positively and consistently
- Supporting students during lessons, breaktimes and educational activities
- Assisting with personal care where required
- Building positive relationships and providing emotional support
- Celebrating achievements and helping students reach their individual goals
You'll play a key role in creating a safe, engaging and supportive environment where every student can thrive.
