About Bestwood Park Nursery
We're a warm, welcoming nursery at the heart of our community, providing high-quality care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years.
Inspired by The Curiosity Approach, we create beautiful, meaningful learning environments filled with authentic resources that encourage children to explore, investigate and develop a lifelong love of learning. The Role
We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Room Leader who is passionate about providing exceptional childcare and inspiring both children and colleagues.
You'll lead your room with confidence, support your team, build strong relationships with families and create exciting learning experiences that reflect each child's interests and stage of development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and motivating a team of Early Years Practitioners.
- Creating a nurturing, stimulating and inspiring learning environment.
- Planning and delivering high-quality, child-led experiences in line with the EYFS.
- Embedding The Curiosity Approach throughout your practice.
- Monitoring children's progress and maintaining accurate observations and records.
- Building positive partnerships with parents and carers.
- Promoting children's wellbeing, safety and safeguarding at all times.
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues to help them reach their potential.
- Maintaining high standards throughout the room and contributing to the continued success of the nursery.
We're looking for someone who has:
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally in a senior or leadership role.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS.
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning through play and exploration.
- A willingness to embrace and develop knowledge of The Curiosity Approach.
- Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete).
