Barman / Bartender – Job Description

Sambol is a Sri Lankan tapas and cocktail restaurant focused on bold flavours, fresh ingredients, and a vibrant guest experience. We are looking for a passionate bartender to join our team and help deliver high-quality drinks and service.
Role Overview
As a Barman, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, maintaining the bar area, and creating a welcoming and engaging experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails, and beverages to a high standard
Follow recipes and maintain consistency in drinks
Set up and close the bar area daily
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar
Manage stock levels and inform management of shortages
Ensure all drinks are served promptly during busy service
Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Support floor staff when required
Skills & Requirements
Previous bartending experience preferred
Basic knowledge of cocktails and spirits
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Good attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Bonus (Not Essential)
Interest in Sri Lankan flavours and ingredients
Experience with fresh ingredients (herbs, syrups, batching)
Cocktail creativity
