Job Description
The Gresham Cocktail Bar & Brasserie is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our busy venue in the heart of Llandudno.
We are looking for a strong, hands-on manager who enjoys hospitality, can lead a team from the front and understands what it takes to deliver excellent service while running an efficient and profitable bar.
This is a key position within the business, and we are looking for someone who wants to make the role their own and help us continue to develop The Gresham.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the bar
- Lead, motivate and manage the bar team
- Prepare and manage staff rotas
- Recruit, train and develop team members
- Maintain excellent standards of customer service
- Manage stock levels, ordering and stock control
- Monitor wastage and help maintain appropriate margins
- Ensure the bar is presented to a consistently high standard
- Help develop our cocktail, wine, spirit and drinks offering
- Deal professionally with customer enquiries and complaints
- Ensure licensing, health & safety and company procedures are followed
- Work with the owners to develop the business, increase sales and improve the customer experience
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Manager or experienced Bar Supervisor
- Experience working within a busy bar, cocktail bar, restaurant or hospitality venue
- Good knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits and draught products
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Good understanding of stock control and GP/margins
- Excellent customer service skills
- A professional and approachable manner
- The ability to remain organised under pressure
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and busy periods
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the right attitude who will take pride in the venue and lead the team by example.
