Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Live-In Carer to provide compassionate support and personalised care to clients in Bromley, South East London. This role involves a 6-week on, 2-week off rota, offering an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to making a positive difference in people's lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, ensuring well-being, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Previous experience in care homes or home care settings is essential, alongside strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to individual care plans. A valid driving licence is helpful but not essential for this role.
Responsibilities
- Providing personalised care in accordance with individual care plans, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility for clients who may be mobile or in bed.
- Supporting clients with medication management and health monitoring as required.
- Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Offering companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any concerns or changes in health status promptly.
- Ensuring a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Facilitating communication between clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery.
- Assisting with light domestic tasks to support a comfortable living environment.
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is essential - 1 year minimum.
- Familiarity with developing and following personalised care plans.
- Proficiency in using basic IT systems for documentation purposes.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
