About the role
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (Interventions & Inclusion) to support pupils through targeted academic, pastoral and SEND interventions. Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo, families and external professionals, you will help ensure pupils receive the personalised support they need to access learning successfully, overcome barriers and flourish within school life.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about inclusion and committed to helping every child achieve success academically, socially and emotionally.
Key responsibilities-
Deliver targeted intervention programmes for individuals and small groups to accelerate progress and address barriers to learning.

Support the implementation of SEN Support Plans and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Promote inclusion, confidence, resilience and independence in pupils.

Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENDCo and pastoral staff to identify and support pupils requiring additional intervention.

Monitor, record and evaluate pupil progress, engagement and intervention outcomes.

Deliver interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, emotional wellbeing and social skills.

Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual needs and maximise pupil success.

Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues to support positive outcomes.

Contribute to a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment while promoting the school's values and expectations.
What we're looking for-
A passionate and caring individual who is committed to helping children succeed.

Experience working with, supporting or caring for children within a school or similar setting.

GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.

An understanding of SEND, inclusion and strategies that support children with additional needs.

The ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills.

A positive, resilient and solution-focused approach to supporting children.
