Are you passionate about working with children and looking to gain a recognised childcare qualification while earning and learning on the job? We have an exciting opportunity for an Afterschool Club Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive wraparound care team in Aylesbury.
This role is ideal for someone who would like to gain hands-on experience working with primary school-aged children while studying towards a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
About the Role
As an Afterschool Club Apprentice, you will support the delivery of a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for children attending our before and after-school provision. With the guidance of experienced managers and childcare professionals, you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in childcare.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children's play, learning and development through fun and engaging activities.
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
- Assisting with snack preparation and promoting healthy habits.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Supporting behaviour management in line with company policies.
- Following safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing procedures at all times.
- Working towards your Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification.

- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection is desirable but training will be provided.
- Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential.
