Our School Vision
Jesus promised a ‘life in all its fullness’ (John 10:10). As a unique rural school, inspired by our Christian love, we nurture our family to grow and shine spiritually, personally and academically.
Tardebigge First School opened in 1815 to serve the well-established districts of Tardebigge and the surrounding areas. The school is a small one-form entry First School with extensive grounds and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. We can offer highly motivated, happy and confident children, a dedicated and supportive staff team, and a welcoming school community. We invest significantly in professional development and are committed to supporting all staff to grow in their roles.
We value working collaboratively with other local schools and have established strong partnerships that provide support and opportunities for sharing good practice. Relationships across our community are excellent: staff work together cooperatively, parents are supportive and engaged, and the Governing Board is fully involved in the life of the school.
Tardebigge First School is committed to safeguarding, the PREVENT strategy and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Pupils learn to accept and uphold our fundamental British values.
All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service. A Disqualification Self Declaration Form is to be completed and returned with the application.
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.
We are an equal opportunities employer and we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender reassignment, age, disability, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy/maternity or race.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
