About Foundations
Foundations Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy is an established multidisciplinary service supporting children, young people and their families.
We provide compassionate, high-quality and neuro-affirming psychological, therapeutic and neurodevelopmental services. Our multidisciplinary team includes Clinical Psychologists, therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and other specialist clinicians.
We are looking for a warm and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at our Tonbridge clinic.
The Role
This is a varied clinical role providing psychological assessment and therapeutic support to children, young people and families.
The role will include:
- Initial psychological assessments and formulation
- Individual psychological therapy with children and young people
- Working with presentations including anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, low mood, school-related difficulties and neurodivergence
- Parent consultations and support
- Liaising with schools and other professionals where appropriate
- Preparing psychological reports and recommendations
- Contributing to multidisciplinary discussions and clinical meetings
- Supporting families to understand their child's emotional and psychological needs
- Working within a neuro-affirming and strengths-based framework
There may also be opportunities to become involved in our neurodevelopmental assessment service depending on your experience, training and interests.
About You
We would love to hear from Clinical Psychologists who:
- Hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent recognised qualification
- Are registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Have experience working therapeutically with children and young people
- Have strong psychological assessment, formulation and therapeutic skills
- Have an interest in neurodiversity and neuro-affirming practice
- Communicate with warmth, compassion and professionalism
- Are confident working independently while also enjoying multidisciplinary team working
- Have strong clinical report-writing skills
- Share our commitment to child-centred and family-centred care
Experience within CAMHS, paediatrics, neurodevelopmental services or children's psychological services would be particularly welcomed.
