Senior residential worker
Are you a kind, resourceful, committed residential childcare manager with strong leadership skills who thrives on making a difference in children’s lives? Do you want to work with a team that's been rated VERY GOOD by the Care Inspectorate for the last seven consecutive years?
At Clearview Care, we uphold the principles of The Promise and create child-centred care packages for children and young people in care.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the health and well-being of the young people in our care and believe every child deserves the highest-quality care. We provide a safe, supportive, and trusting environment that encourages responsibility, growth, learning, and positive outcomes.
You must enjoy working with children. The role will include helping with any emotional or personal care needs the young person might have. It is essential you can present a calm and engaging demeanour whilst assisting the children with their day-to-day activities. Whilst previous experience would be desirable, excellent support skills, the right motivation, personal qualities, and levels of resilience are just as necessary.
If you want to join a dedicated team in a workplace that will welcome your ideas to re-engage the young people we work with, we would like to hear from you.
In return, we offer.
· A welcoming and friendly team passionate about achieving positive outcomes for our young people.
· A flexible shift system which supports a work-life balance.
· A pay award system determined by experience and qualification that puts career development at the forefront of your training.
· In-house support from accredited Safe Crisis Management trainers.
· Regular supervision, team development days and fun events.
· Career pathways are supported through partnerships with education providers.
· Superb induction and training; support in gaining recognised qualifications in residential childcare.
· Progression opportunities. We would expect senior residential workers to commence their SVQ 4 after six months of employment.
· Competitive pay rates, pension, and ongoing personal and professional development.
· Access to counselling.
· A Fitness suite.
· Private healthcare.
· Company perks scheme.
If successful, your role will be to support the manager of a 3-bed Residential Children's Home where young people live in a group environment. You will manage a team and provide day-to-day care, support, and direction to children with challenging emotional and social difficulties. The role requires you to maintain and promote an environment in line with national childcare practice, which also uses the outdoors and planned activities as a medium for healing.
