SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER – HEREFORD

My Health Care Support Ltd is recruiting an experienced Senior Support Worker to help deliver safe, respectful and person-centred support in Hereford supported-living services and agreed community locations.
THE ROLE
You will provide direct support while helping colleagues maintain consistent standards during allocated shifts. You will work within agreed care plans, risk assessments, company procedures and the limits of your training and authority.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide respectful personal care and daily-living support
- Support independence, choice, dignity, community participation and meaningful activities
- Support medication only when trained, assessed as competent and authorised
- Coordinate shift duties and communicate priorities clearly when delegated to do so
- Provide clear handovers and escalate changes, incidents or safeguarding concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely care records and contribute to service documentation
- Support new and less-experienced staff through positive role modelling
- Work professionally with colleagues, families and relevant professionals
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, infection-control and risk-management requirements
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Substantial hands-on experience in supported living, residential care, domiciliary/community care, healthcare support, mental-health services, learning-disability services or complex-needs support
- Experience taking responsibility during shifts or supporting colleagues
- Confidence with personal care, safeguarding, accurate records and professional boundaries
- Reliable travel to Hereford and agreed local support locations
- Existing right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Previous Senior Support Worker, Lead Support Worker or shift-lead experience
- Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent
- Care Certificate and relevant current training
- Medication competency
- Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport
PAY AND HOURS
Pay is £13.00–£14.00 per hour. The rate offered will reflect relevant experience, qualifications, duties and shift requirements. Hours may be full-time, part-time or variable according to service needs and availability.
