Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in a busy restaurant environment. The Chef de Partie will be responsible for managing specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety, presentation, and quality are maintained at all times.
Duties
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Oversee the preparation of ingredients and ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within your designated section, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Monitor stock levels within your section and communicate needs for replenishment to the head chef.
- Ensure all dishes leaving your section meet presentation standards and are served at the correct temperature.
- Collaborate with other sections of the kitchen to ensure smooth operation during service periods.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, maintaining hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a busy restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
- Previous experience working in a restaurant environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, or public holidays as required.
