English Teacher Required – September Start
Paragon Education is recruiting on behalf of a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Worcester for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a successful English department, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that help students develop confidence in reading, writing and communication. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
The Role
As an English Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of pupils of all abilities.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of English.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance and academic success.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued development of the English department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching English within a UK secondary school.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is passionate about inspiring young people and improving outcomes.
- Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
