£99 – £105 per day
We are working in partnership with a respected SEN College in New Malden, Surrey, to appoint a committed and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant for a long-term position running from September 2026.
This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right individual.
The college supports young people with a variety of complex learning needs, including Autism (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Their tailored, person-centred approach focuses on developing communication, independence, life skills, and employability—empowering learners to transition confidently into adulthood.
About the Role
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to students across the college day. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD and PMLD
- Assist with personal care and daily living tasks when required
- Promote communication, social development, and independent living skills
- Support students during practical sessions such as cookery, travel training, and work-related learning
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals
About You
- Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism and/or PMLD
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Comfortable supporting personal care needs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
