Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills to assist with various maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that facilities and outdoor areas are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing and to ensure a high standard of general maintenance and decor within the care home and external grounds, as directed by the home manager . This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks around the property, including garden maintenance.
- Painting & Decorating within the home's communal areas and residents bedrooms.
- Remedial work as required.
- Ensure works are carried out by external contractors assigned by the organisation.
- Completing all maintenance checks required within the home.
- Completing documentation/audits.
- To complete all mandatory training as per company policy.
- Any other tasks deemed necessary and reasonable by the home manager.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with garden care, landscape maintenance, and irrigation systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
