Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Core Winder to join our manufacturing team.
Core winding is the foundation from which all our products are derived and is a key part of our business. The core winder should take responsibility for ensuring that the cores are manufactured, finished and tested to the specifications required and work flexibly and collaboratively as part of our team.
- Setting and operating the core winding machinery efficiently and safely according to production schedules
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal operation
- Welding of coil laps together (small handheld very low power welding) no coding required.
- Inspect finished cores for quality, ensuring they meet specified standards including testing using dedicated test equipment.
- Packing cores ready for next process
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Record production data accurately and report any issues to supervisors promptly
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during shift activities
- Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided
- Basic understanding of mechanical operations or machinery is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with good hand to eye co-ordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn new processes
