We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead an established 6-bed children’s residential home in the LA2 area of Lancaster.
The home supports children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and currently holds a Good Ofsted rating.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to take responsibility for an established service, maintain its strong standards and continue to develop the home and team to achieve positive outcomes for the young people in their care.
Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the 6-bed home.
Maintain the existing Good Ofsted standards.
Ensure the home provides a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care.
Lead, manage and develop the staff team.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation.
Oversee care planning, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
Build positive relationships with young people, families and external professionals.
Monitor the quality of care and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Support the home to maintain regulatory compliance and achieve positive outcomes.
Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections.
Promote a positive culture within the home and staff team.
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care.
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and children's residential legislation.
Experience working with children and young people with EBD.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
Experience managing a children's residential home.
Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management for Children and Young People, or willingness to work towards this.
A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
£50,000 basic salary.
Potential to earn up to £55,000 through Ofsted and occupancy bonuses.
£3,000 Ofsted bonus for an Outstanding Ofsted report.
£2,000 annual occupancy bonus for achieving 90% occupancy between 1st December and 30th November.
25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory Bank Holidays.
Established home with a Good Ofsted rating.
