We are currently seeking a candidate who has an interest working in the bereavement sector to join our team as a Modern Apprentice. As part of the role, the successful candidate will be learning a range of administrative and operational tasks associated with the cemeteries department. As a Modern Apprentice, you will work towards the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management certificate. This qualification will help the successful candidate to learn and understand the legal framework that needs to be worked adhered to whilst working in the cemeteries department
Your daily routine will involve carrying out operational tasks within the cemetery such as routine maintenance, preparations for burials and instructing funerals and stonemasons on the day of funerals. The successful candidate will also be expected to carry out the administrative work that is required for a burial to take place whilst providing legal documents to ensure that the Authority is compliant with the Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977.

- 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above including English and Maths
- A full UK driving license
- Good IT skills
- An interest working in the bereavement sector
