A leading Litigation Practice with offices across the UK is looking to recruit an experienced Costs Draftsman/Costs Lawyer to their reputable team.
The firm deals with high quality caseloads of Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence, Catastrophic Injury's and civil litigation.
Due to recent success, they are looking to recruit a Costs Draftsman to be responsible for drafting bills, POD’s/Replies, conducting negotiations and completing post assessment work.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting cost budgets & statement of Costs for summary assessment,
- Drafting of estimates of costs.
- Drafting, High Cost Case Plans,
- Corresponding with third parties – experts, counsel etc..
- Maintaining accurate time costing procedures on inter partes negotiations
- Ensuring compliance with bill/case management system.
- Issuing Part 8 costs only proceedings
- Preparing applications for Judgement
You must have 3+ years’ experience as a Costs Draftsman or Costs Lawyer and a clear understanding of the Civil Procedure rules.
