Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and welcoming Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process. This role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle guest enquiries efficiently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with the check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage reservations efficiently using hotel management software
- Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and amenities
- Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain accurate guest records and billing information
- Address guest concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Process payments securely and issue receipts as required
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hospitality at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel reception or customer service within the hospitality sector is preferred
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for assisting international guests
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Knowledge of hotel management software is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary
- A friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
