Self-Employed Associate | Flexible Caseload | Remote & Clinic-Based Assessments
Medispec Ltd is currently inviting applications from HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologists interested in undertaking independent psychological assessments for medico-legal cases throughout the Birmingham region.
This opportunity is well suited to psychologists seeking additional professional work alongside NHS, private practice, academic, or consultancy commitments.

Role Duties
- Conduct psychological assessments for personal injury and related medico-legal matters
- Review records and background documentation
- Evaluate psychological symptoms and their impact on daily functioning
- Produce professional clinical findings and recommendations
- Participate in occasional local clinic appointments
Essential Criteria
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist
- Current professional indemnity insurance
- ICO registration
- Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last three years
- Understanding of PTSD and common mental health presentations
- Ability to attend occasional in-person assessments within the local area
Desirable Experience
- Previous medico-legal assessment or reporting experience
- Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders
- Strong written communication and report preparation skills
- Experience within personal injury or civil litigation settings
