About: Roshen Process Solutions is an international industrial solutions company operating across procurement, engineering, advanced materials, energy and technology-enabled industrial solutions. We are seeking an experienced Marketing & Commercial Manager to support and manage customer relationships, commercial operations, marketing, business development and technical-commercial activities across our UK and international markets.
This is a multidisciplinary technical-commercial role combining B2B marketing, client relationship management, business development, technical-commercial analysis and end-to-end customer order management.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers, management, engineering and technical teams, procurement, finance and logistics to understand customer requirements, develop appropriate commercial solutions and manage the customer relationship from initial enquiry through delivery and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial & Client Management
- Manage enquiries from existing and prospective B2B customers and act as a key commercial point of contact.
- Understand customer technical, commercial and delivery requirements and coordinate appropriate solutions.
- Review customer specifications, technical documentation and drawings to understand requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of technical-commercial quotations, including pricing, delivery requirements, Incoterms and relevant commercial conditions.
- Manage customer purchase orders and coordinate order processing through the company's ERP and internal systems.
- Monitor orders from confirmation through fulfilment and delivery and provide customers with regular progress updates.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, logistics and finance teams to ensure customer commitments are delivered.
- Coordinate customer invoicing and follow up outstanding payments in accordance with agreed commercial terms.
- Manage customer queries, delivery issues and complaints through to appropriate resolution. Obtain customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve service and develop repeat business.
- Technical & Industrial Solutions
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment documentation and parts information.
- Derive or validate Material Take-Offs (MTOs) from drawings, equipment documentation and customer specifications where required.
- Understand machinery and equipment spare-parts requirements, including critical spares, replacement parts and maintenance requirements.
- Develop an understanding of equipment life cycles, planned maintenance and replacement requirements.
- Research and evaluate alternative sourcing options where original parts are unavailable, obsolete or commercially unsuitable.
- Assess alternative products and components based on technical compatibility, specification, quality, availability, lead time and cost.
- Work with engineering and technical specialists to clarify requirements and develop appropriate customer solutions.
- Translate technical information into clear and commercially relevant recommendations for customers and management.
- Marketing & Business Development
- Conduct market, customer and competitor research across oil & gas, energy, power generation, infrastructure and industrial engineering markets.
- Identify prospective customers, target markets, products, services and new business opportunities.
- Support targeted B2B email marketing, customer outreach and lead-generation campaigns.
- Develop customer-facing marketing and commercial content, presentations and technical-commercial proposals.
- Work with technical teams to convert complex engineering products and capabilities into clear customer value propositions.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activity and provide commercially relevant recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, account development and expansion of existing customer relationships.
- Support management in developing customer acquisition, retention and business development strategies. Order Management & Commercial Analysis
- Verify customer purchase orders against quotations, including part numbers, quantities, lead times, currency, Incoterms and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate resolution of discrepancies between customer orders and agreed commercial terms.
- Monitor delivery schedules and communicate delays or changes to customers.
- Coordinate relevant delivery documentation and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, customers, orders, invoices and business opportunities.
- Prepare reports covering customer activity, quotations, orders, payments and business development.
- Analyse commercial and customer information to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Support management with commercially focused analysis and recommendations.
Essential Skills & Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- Minimum 7+ years' overall professional experience in commercial management, client relationship management, business development, technical sales, marketing, commercial analysis, business analysis, industrial procurement or related areas.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in one or more of the following sectors: oil & gas, energy, power generation, infrastructure.
- Strong experience managing B2B customers and commercial relationships.
- Experience handling customer enquiries, quotations, purchase orders, order management, invoicing and payment follow-up.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Practical experience deriving or validating MTOs (Material Take-Offs).
- Understanding of industrial machinery, equipment and spare-parts requirements.
- Understanding of machinery life cycles, maintenance requirements and critical spares.
- Experience identifying and evaluating alternative sourcing options for technical products, components or spare parts.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify customer and business development opportunities.
- Experience using ERP, CRM or other commercial/business management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, technical specialists and commercial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple customers, enquiries, opportunities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Desirable Experience Preference will be given to candidates with experience in: Industrial machinery, rotating equipment, process equipment or plant systems.
- Oil & gas, energy, power generation or infrastructure projects. Industrial spare parts and equipment lifecycle management.
- International B2B sales or customer relationship management. Export/import and international commercial operations. Incoterms and international delivery requirements. Technical-commercial quotations and proposals.
- B2B email marketing and digital lead generation. CRM and ERP systems.
- Excel, Power BI, SQL or other analytical tools. AI-enabled business tools, automation or technology-enabled commercial processes.
Education
A degree or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Commercial Management, Business Analysis, International Business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or a related discipline is preferred.
Relevant professional experience will also be considered.
