Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experianced Lead Dental Nurse to join our growing dental practice in Torquay.
Wellswood and Babbacombe Dental Practice is part of the Unity Dental Group. We have six practices in Devon. We are not a corporate. We are now looking for a lead nurse who will work closely with the practice manager.
You will have strong team player skills, and the ability to think on your feet and use your initiative. You will have a clear understanding of compliance, and genuinely want to progress in the dental industry. You will be supported by in practice and central management, with the other lead nurses in the group accessible for support and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilising instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling using dental software.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
- Stock Control
- Rota Management
- Admin tasks that will involve compliance, and assisting with the smooth running of the practice.
- Other tasks as required.
Experience
- Previous experiance as a Lead dental nurse is preferable, but we are keen to her from qualified nurses who are keen to take the next step in their career who can demonstrate they have the skills needed for a lead nurse role.
- Implant experience preferred, but not essential. Training can be given.
- Radiography qualification preferred, but not essential.
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient IT skills for managing patient information and scheduling systems.
