About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and patient male Support Worker to provide community access and wellbeing support for a young adult with Autism. The role focuses on promoting independence, confidence, routine, and social inclusion through structured activities in the community.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys helping others build life skills and engage safely in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe and supportive community access
- Encourage independence, confidence, and daily living skills
- Support attendance at activities, appointments, and social outings
- Promote wellbeing, routine, and positive engagement
- Communicate clearly and calmly
- Follow support plans and guidance
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times
Requirements
- Male Support Worker (due to service‑user preference)
- Able to communicate clear and confident English
- Car driver with business insurance
- Friendly, patient, and understanding
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Experience with Autism is helpful but not essential
Compliance Requirements
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
- Two professional references
- Right to work in the UK
