New Formation Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in New Addington that offers both mainstream education and a specialist Autism Provision.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across both settings, supporting children with a range of additional needs while gaining valuable SEN experience in a friendly and supportive school.
With autism classes of no more than 10 pupils, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful, individualised support and build positive relationships that make a real difference.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils across mainstream primary classrooms and the school's Autism Provision.
- Work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups.
- Help children access learning tailored to their individual needs.
- Encourage communication, independence and social development.
- Support emotional regulation using calm and consistent approaches.
- Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to deliver personalised support.
- Promote confidence, engagement and positive behaviour throughout the school day.

Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people (school or care-based experience welcomed).
- A calm, patient and supportive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
