Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Coordinate food production to meet service times and customer expectations
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment
- Support serving staff during busy periods to ensure excellent customer service
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas and improvements
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen setting
- Extensive food production, cooking, and food preparation skills
- Strong team management capabilities with leadership qualities
- Solid background in hospitality or restaurant environments
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in food presentation and culinary techniques
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including serving procedures
