Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Assist in the organisation and management of specific sections within the kitchen
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control as required
- Contribute to menu development and presentation of dishes to enhance customer experience
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests when necessary
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, culinary techniques, and presentation
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
