We have an exciting opportunity to join our highly acclaimed and well-established Therapy Department at Salford Royal Hospital for a 5 month period to cover a secondment.
As a Band 5 physiotherapist you will play a vital role in delivering patient care by providing assessment, planning, and delivery of treatment programmes to patients with multiple needs. You will join our current band 5 workforce who rotate every 6 months around areas such as Respiratory, MSK, Community rehab and falls, Home first, CSNRT, Orthopaedics, Major Trauma, ACM, Neurosurgery, Stroke, Urgent care.
We are looking for someone with
- Broad experience of physiotherapy at undergraduate or post graduate level.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to use initiative
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Drive to deliver high quality care and rehabilitation to meet patient needs.

Participate in the rotational scheme at Salford care organisation completing rotations across acute and community settings .
Working as an autonomous practitioner within your scope of practice and in accordance with your job plan.
Be responsible for your continuing professional development, actively participating in supervision, peer support and training and development programmes.
Manage a caseload including prioritisation and delegation of work to therapy assistants, performing patient assessments and making a clinical judgement of the patient’s needs.
Develop, implement, evaluate and modify patient treatment programmes ensuring relevant pathways of care are followed in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team with onward referral to other agencies as appropriate.
Be able to travel across the footprint of Salford whilst on community rotations
Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records complying with Trust policies and procedures, upholding statutory, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and HCPC standards and codes of professional conduct.
