About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and organised Parts Person to join our busy vehicle bodyshop. You will be responsible for sourcing, ordering, receiving and managing vehicle parts to ensure repairs are completed efficiently, on time and to the required standard.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Bodyshop Manager, Estimators, Technicians and Insurance Companies, ensuring the correct parts are available when required and helping to minimise delays throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and order the correct parts required for vehicle repairs.
- Source parts from manufacturers, main dealers and approved suppliers.
- Check parts against estimates and vehicle specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of parts ordered, received and returned.
- Receive deliveries and inspect parts for damage, quality and accuracy.
- Arrange returns and credits for incorrect or damaged parts.
- Monitor outstanding orders and chase suppliers where necessary.
- Ensure parts are available in line with the vehicle repair schedule.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and delivery times.
- Work closely with technicians to ensure the correct parts are supplied.
- Communicate with estimators and management regarding parts availability and delays.
- Keep the parts department organised and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Ensure all parts are correctly labelled and allocated to the relevant vehicle/job.
- Assist with maintaining an efficient workflow throughout the bodyshop.
- Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a vehicle bodyshop, automotive parts or motor trade environment.
- Good knowledge of vehicle parts and repair processes.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Confidence dealing with suppliers and customers.
- Good computer skills and the ability to use parts/estimating systems - Autoflow and Audatex.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A valid driving licence and experience with bodyshop estimating/parts systems would be advantageous.

Pay: £25,420.00-£47,618.50 per year
